Reset London is located at 240 Upper Street, just a short walk from Highbury & Islington station and only a few minutes from Asiatic Highbury at 262 Upper Street. For guests arriving at Angel station, it is about a 15-minute walk along Upper Street.

I was recently invited by the Reset team to visit and experience the space. Having spent many years working with bodywork, movement, and wellness, I was curious about how contrast therapy fits within the wider Upper Street wellness community.

From the moment I entered, the space felt carefully considered. The reception area is large and welcoming. A long corridor leads guests into the deeper experience. The design features warm, earthy elegance, with terracotta tones, copper details, and stone flooring that give the space a grounded, contemporary feel.

The cold plunge area is beautifully designed, with several small pools set at different temperatures. During my visit, I immersed myself in the cold water several times, including a short dip at 1°C for under a minute. I also combined this with about 50 minutes in the Reset sauna. If you are new to contrast therapy, it is a good idea to check with your GP before starting, especially if you have any heart conditions, circulatory issues, or are pregnant. First-timers are encouraged to go at their own pace, listen to their body, and let staff know if they have any health concerns or questions.

A calm pause point between sauna and cold plunge, with water and showers nearby.

Between the sauna and cold plunge, there’s a bar-style area where you can stop, have some water, cool off, and take your time. Showers are available too, so it’s easy to switch between heat, cold, and rest.

What stood out to me wasn’t just the design, but the atmosphere. Reset feels high-end and well put together, but it’s not intimidating. In the sauna, I had a nice chat with other guests, and the whole place felt friendly, open, and quietly communal.

Wellness spaces can sometimes feel too serious or exclusive, but Reset feels refined yet warm. People come for all sorts of reasons, whether it’s to breathe, reset, socialise, recover from a busy week, or just try something new.

For Upper Street, this feels like a welcome addition. Asiatic has always believed that good wellness spaces should support the local community, not just offer a service. Reset London brings something different to the area: a place for heat, cold, breathwork and shared ritual, only a short walk from Highbury & Islington station. Reset is a contrast therapy studio designed to help people slow down, reconnect, and find balance. The space draws inspiration from nature and brings together a modern sauna, cold plunges, and a breathwork lounge to create a place where wellbeing and community come together.

Many people find that regular sauna use, cold exposure, and guided breathwork help with recovery, circulation, stress resilience, energy, and body awareness. At Reset, guided contrast therapy sessions blend breathwork with heat and cold to help guests discover how the nervous system, stress, and calm are connected.

If you want to recover, recharge, or just take a real break from daily life, Reset offers an immersive and restorative experience for your body and mind.

→ For Asiatic guests who enjoy massage, bodywork, and mindful self-care, Reset may offer a complementary experience. Massage invites the body to soften through touch, rhythm, and skilled pressure. Contrast therapy works through heat, cold, breath, and personal focus. They are different experiences, but both encourage a stronger connection with the body.
