 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I came back to Asiatic to try a 75-minute Traditional Thai Yoga Massage with Jane and honestly… why have I never had a Thai massage before?! I absolutely loved it.

I’ve had loads of massages over the years, but this was completely different to anything I’ve had before. You’re given clean shorts and a T-shirt to change into, you stay fully clothed and there are no oils - it’s all pressure, movement and assisted stretching.

The whole space was really clean and hygienic, and there’s such a calm feeling when you walk in. Everything felt fresh, comfortable and well looked after, which definitely helps you switch off and settle into the treatment.

Jane was amazing and really adapted everything depending on how my body was responding. Some of the stretches were INTENSE, but in the best possible way. There was one back stretch in particular that was honestly insane - she somehow managed to stretch parts of my back that I don’t think I’ve ever been able to properly get to myself!

I thought I’d leave feeling super relaxed and sleepy, but weirdly I felt relaxed AND energised. My whole body felt looser, properly stretched out and like I just had so much more room to move.

Apple was lovely and welcoming as always, and I finished off with a little herbal tea before heading back out onto Upper Street.

If you’ve never tried Thai massage because you don’t really know what to expect, definitely give it a go. It’s completely different from a traditional oil massage and such an experience. I would 100% have one again - I think I may have found a new favourite.

Choosing and booking your experience

Which Signature Experience should I choose?

Choose Zen Harmony for fully clothed Thai movement and foot massage; Lotus Bliss for firmer deep tissue and foot massage; or Pure Calm for a slower aromatherapy, foot and head experience.

Can the treatment combination be changed?

Each Signature Experience has a set treatment combination: Zen Harmony is 75 minutes of Traditional Thai Massage and 45 minutes of Thai Foot Massage, Lotus Bliss is 90 minutes of Deep Tissue and 30 minutes of Thai Foot Massage, and Pure Calm is 90 minutes of Aromatherapy, 30 minutes of Thai Foot Massage and 30 minutes of Head Massage. Pressure, pace and priority areas can be adapted to you on the day. If you’d like a different combination, please call your preferred studio before booking and we’ll advise on the best option.

Is each experience delivered in one appointment?

Yes. Each Signature Experience is delivered as one continuous appointment, with your therapist managing the transition between each part of the treatment. It cannot be divided between separate visits.

What should I wear, and which experiences use oil?

Zen Harmony is fully clothed, so wear something comfortable and no massage oil is used. Lotus Bliss uses CBD massage oil, and Pure Calm uses essential aromatherapy oil. For both of these, clothing and draping are explained before the treatment begins. Your therapist will also agree pressure and priority areas with you beforehand.

Are Signature Experiences available at both studios?

Yes. Signature Experiences are available at Asiatic Angel (93 Upper Street) and Asiatic Highbury (262 Upper Street), subject to the practitioner, room and appointment time required. Both studios are open daily from 10am to 9pm.

Can two people book together?

Yes, you can arrange to come together. Because each experience needs a therapist and a room for 2 to 2½ hours, please call your preferred studio to check that two therapists and suitable rooms are available at the same time. If you’d like a shorter shared treatment, we also offer Couples Massage.

How do I book?

Choose your Signature Experience, then check availability online at Asiatic Angel or Asiatic Highbury, or call your preferred studio: Angel on 020 7288 8702 or Highbury on 020 4531 5032.

Can I purchase one as a gift?
